GTE on its way
#32
Well by the grace of God.... I manage to get this motor back into the car and bolted up. Last time I attempted this I had BGWillys from Lexotic MidWest over to assist me before his flight back to Ohio.
Either way I remember the tricks of the install that made this 2nd attempt a little easier.
Going In..
Here it is with engine and tranny bolted into place. I also reattached my fuel feed and return lines. I also reinstalled the A/C.
I still have to make a run to my machinist to add some customization to my downpipe and add the bungs for the AEM sensors.

Damn, I got the driveshaft, shifter and interior back together today. I also removed GE Powersteering Pump and attached lines to GTE PS Pump.
I installed all the Intercooler Piping which was a ***** cause i had to bend the AC lines out of the way. I also unpinned & removed a broken ECU harness connector and replaced it with a useable one from a scrap harness.

Damn Rich you're really moving along. Can't wait to see it all together. Is it still going to be black or do you have something else in mind? Also what wheels, suspension, brakes, etc. are you running. Excuse my curiousity but with all the progress you've been making, I'm just really interested in your build.

not deep pockets, but I'm doing brakes when they are needed. I will run the NA brakes until they need changing. The Stock TT brakes are just too darn heavy. I lifted a set, and I wasnt impressed. I got CE28N's.
I finished running all the wires from my gauges, boost controller and Wideband sensors today. That was a trip.
I also swapped in the TT accelerator cable. (Did I mention you have to work for Cirque du Soleil to get at those bolts.
I also snaked the Engine ECU Harness back into its proper place.

My Order from Elmhurst Toyota should be here this week. I also got rid of an engine\tranny\complete exhaust and other things from garage that will give me more room to work and breathe.
Im just prepping my motor for all the AEM sensors. and what nots.

I ran and zip tied all my vacuum hoses.
I installed the boost controller
I replaced my entire dash.
I installed all my gauges and Wideband Sensor
I swapped to 3" aluminum piping from 2.5" steel.
I ran all my AEM sensors.
I am just waiting on some bigger t-bolt clamps.
All I need now is the AEM which is coming soon and I can fire this boy up.
