the reason why I went with 16" rims in the 1st place was because I drive the car into NYC and if it was any bigger it would bend/crack etc. These are supposedly decent and will take some hits and not bend. If I have to change them every 2 years or so I'm not going to all out and buy 3K rim/tire package.

i feel ya.... why not go staggered?? 18x8 up front and 18x9 in the rear... it will give the car a more aggressive look... what other rims are you considering??

I'm going to go 18x8 front and back. I know I know. but I'm in the middle of a twin turbo project so I'm going to hang out until next summer. My tires still have some good meat left on them =) after that the momo's will get winter tires on them

twin turbo?? seriouslY??? that would be sweet!! but if thats your plan... its almost a necessity to go with wider rims in the rear... you'll need at least 255's for the rear at a minimum. for an sc with twin turbo...you'll probably need at least 275 or more..

realistic time frame is 10-11 months out from now. through the test period I'm going to be doing alot of stupid things so I don't want to burnout expensive tires. Keeping everything real.

Good lord....SC TT? That would be one hell of a Lexus. I agree you will need wider wheels, but your also right, you dont need them now. But if your gonna get wheels now, you might as well go big (wider). Good luck with this project, and welcome to Lexotic Concepts.
