Default the problem

The problem with a kit like the one you suggested is that the Clarion stereo is a full size. It is one piece and fills almost the whole unit area. what I need is a way to bracket it into the slot and fill the edges in. The piece you reccommended is for installing the units in seperate pieces. Any more assistance would be helpful. Thanks.

i dont think anyone makes a double din kit for it.. might have to make a custom bracket for it.. like mine.. but mine is single din.. go to a good audio installer.. they can probably make you one

i used the stock brackets, they screwed right in and got some wood, painted it black and double sticked it on.

Default the unit

the unit that I need to install is not a double din like yours, but it is the entire piece including the heat and a/c buttons. There is a big hole where that unit would be. It's not just a double size unit, the entire face.

Default Re: the problem

You xna fix this easily. Just get the accurate measure ments of the space requirement of your radio, then the area your new radio is going into and then get a dremmel and become creative with the Crutchfeld piece. I was gonna do that with the Lincoln NAvi I was gonna install on my ES. (See A/V section)
