CarPlay Location Services Issues

Hi. I own a 2019 NX300, I do not have the built-in navigation system. I have not had any issues with the car-- other than the fantom infotainment restarts. But, for about five months now every time I connect my phone to CarPlay to use a navigation app (Waze, Apple Maps, Google Maps), it cannot find my location. My location just bounces around, or is miles behind, or on a parallel road. I initially thought this was due to my phone, but I have tried EVERYTHING on that side and nothing has changed! The apps work fine when I am not connected to CarPlay, or when I am using them away from my car. I recently drove my mom's car for a couple of days and using my phone Waze worked through CarPlay in her car. I am taking my car to get serviced tomorrow and I am going to have them look at this, but I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue. It has been super inconvenient!
