Absolutely correct, I was referring to the 2nd gen GS upgrade. I forgot to include the first-gen GS in what I said, thanks for clarifying that, and thanks for the nice writeup.
From what you said, the 2nd gen GS Nak headunit is also Pioneer, correct? I was under the impression, since I've never opened it up, that this was the one piece of the system that was actually Nak and not Pioneer. The use of the Nak name without ANY of the components being Nak is deception (according to me, anyway), and they should stop doing that stuff.

yes your right . i forgot to mention that everything but the amplifer was made by pioneer 98 up. so since the amplfier made by nakamichi they kept calling them nakamichi without deceiving i guess. . the same goes for mark levinson. only amp and equalizer made by levinson. pioneer makes most of the headunits and changers from 2001 up.so the last real nakamichi headunits and subwoofers were in first generation ls.gs and sc. even the 99 and 2000 sc nakamichi headunit is pioneer inside same as the 98 ls400 and gs 98 up headunits. its only half full if you look in the ventilation holes. but the 1992 nakamichi amp is still in the trunk with a pioneer 6 disc on top not the old sc 12 disc. the nakamichi amps were probably left over from earlier runs and used up but everything else was pioneer.
