Default Need help with deciding on rest of sound system

Hey,

I recently purchased a alpine cva 1006 and dva 5200. I also have 2 rockford fosgate he2 punch subs in a box. (also a amp,but my friend who is borrowing it says it sux)I know next to nothing about car audio so I need some advice. I have decided to buy a alpine cha s364 (or something like that, its the 6 disc that plays mp3s/data cds)

Anyways I have a few questions. Will I need an amp to power the other speakers, or will the cva 1006 power them? Also should I buy 2 amps? (one for the stock speaks and 1 for the subs), or just 1 for the subs. And what kind of amp/how many watts should I buy to go with the HE2's? (Im not sure the exact model of subs, but there brand new.)

Thanx for help
Jason

Anyways

It's hard to give you advice because you didn't say the size of your Fosgate subs.

I'll try anyway. If they are 10's and above, you will probably need an amp that puts out something like a minimum of 150-200 watts per sub. I would also power the other speakers with their own amp. You also need to strongly consider upgrading the stock speakers because they will soon be over powered by the subs, especially if you run them off the HU's power (which I wouldn't recommed BTW).

You have some nice equipment as a source. Don't skimp out on the speakers and amps, because you will never see the full potential of the HU that way.

ez rhino with those subs pumping make sure you get some decent wires. Monster cables are always good. Your new headunit can power the stock speakers, most of them have a built in amp. When you go amp shopping go look for how much wattage you need for the amps in rms not max wattage. I'd suggest u upgrade your stock speakers too, infiniti kappas are nice. They clear and crisp... Goodluck with your install. You will probably need a capacitator to help keep your car from dimming when u pump up the bass. Remember you can still drain your battery with the cap, it can only help so much. ALso DON"T GO ChEAP ON THE WIRES

don't run the doors off the 1006 it will be a lil more work but get a highs amp and run them that way with new wire to the amp from the speakers
next get atleast 500 watts for 2 12's and the 1 thing i hate about my 98 ls400 is that the gas tank is right behind the back seat which makes it harder for the bass to come to the front of the car
