I think that I'll give the single 15 inch sub a try, for deeper bass...I hope it won't bother after a certain amount of time.

All you need is One 12' JL W7 in a ported box and a good 1,000 watt amp.

Are you serious???? Are you gonna start that again????

Come on. It's clear that you're gonna have to make up your own mind and live with it. You keep asking the same question, you will get different answers coming out of the woodwork forever.

Make a decision based on the information ALREADY given and live with that.

Anyways, I am taking the Audiobahn ALUM15Q subs that's it. The matter of fact now is the amp. This sub is a 3 or 12 ohm operation so I wonder if this affects performances.

if FUNKMASTER FLEX, one of the rulers of the rap kingdom, says in his show everytime "Ain't nothin can beat the JL W7..." or something like that. that statement should assure you LOUD, DEEP, and BOOMIN BASS.

Let me put it this way... You can have Five lousy 15 inch speaker and I can have Two Good 12 inch speakers with a good amp and the Two 12's will sound better and louder than Five lousy 15's... It's not about how many speakers or how many amps, it's about how well a speaker performes with the correct amp and power. Also you should get the right box for the specific speaker. I've seen 2 15's in a 2 12's box and it sounded like crap!

the reason he keeps asking is because there was no real clear answer as i think he was expecting. instead you guys went off on your own tangent and started arguing, so dont blame him for still being unclear.

good choice with the 15. wire the sub for 3ohm and get an amp that is stable to at least 2 ohm mono if not 1. make sure you look past what the manufacturer advertises. i.e. a company may say the amp pushes 1500 watts but in reality that rating is probably down to 1 ohm. a good choice would be JL's 1000/1 mono amp. it will run 1000 watts for any sub impedance running from .5(?) - 4 ohms so your 3 ohm 15 will do just fine.

You've got to be kidding me. Like Funkmaster Flex has some sort of technical credentials??? Give me a break. He can spend a lot of money on gear. The guy has his own signature shoe line (Lugz), so does that make him a sneaker expert too?
