I think my current setup is the best one i ever had.
I began with 2 12" rf hx2's powered by a kx800.2 and thought it was the shiznit, but over time i began to learn and hear good sq and spl from **** basically, and i had ****, because the 2 12's could boooom so hard that i could set off car alarms but couldn't stay with the beat, would always lag. For those who are wondering bout if the box was sealed etc. i had a box split into 2 chambers, and were sealed inside out. so it wasn't the box nor the amp.
I then bought 2 15" eclipse aluminums and man everything was rumbling, but it was too much for me and the fact that they were overpowering everything else in my car, cuz my lights were basically dimming to black and my amp couldn't handle it at loud levels, or even med. And I was also killing my alternator, so basically i made a single chamber box at a slant,,,( oh ya if you make a box or go out to buy one, make sure its not a cub, distorts the sq, need to have some angles or levels, just a tip) anyways i setup 1 15" running mono through the amp and man you think a 15 cant keep up with techno, well this 15 can,
GO WITH ECLIPSE, i think there outdoing jl, eclipse has nasty sq and at the same time spl through their aluminum line.
OH ya the other 15" svc aluminum 500-750 rms is now on sale, has dings in the cone but the rubber is in mint condition and the sq is perfect.
