Default changing my front speakers on the SC - need some help

I'm planning on changing out the front speakers on my SC300 with Nakamichi premium audio. I like the stock look and don't want to run an aftermarket amp with an aftermarket headunit, etc etc.

Any suggestions as to which speakers I should look into? Should I just get midrange drivers, or should I get full coaxials with the center-mounted tweeter? Since I'm just swapping new speakers in, I will be utilizing the Nakamichi tweeter.

Please share any advice you may have. I'll be grateful for anything you can share.

Thanks,
-Brian.

i like the infinity kappa 5.25" components for the front, they'll require minor modification to replace the original 4" speakers, but sound is great, get em on ebay for cheap (150ish)

I have 4" morel intergra 4 inchers in my doors ( they came with a tweeter ) werent that hard to put it, i stuck with the 4" so i could make use of the stock mounting brackets..... same in the back but i used Inifinity Kappa 4001.i .... if you dont want to go too high with the $$$ id recomend the infinities... but then again dont take my word for it, go and listen to everything and then choose the ones you like most, and remember when listening in stores, it wont sound exactly like that in your car...

Hope i helped

With the baffles, wouldn't they sound decent as a 4 inch speaker?

I was looking at the CDT Audio coaxials, Alpine Type-Rs, and I believe Focal makes a 4 inch speaker as well.

Should I go for a midrange driver or a 2-way coaxial with mounted tweeter? Would having two tweeters be overkill (and make my ears bleed from the shrill noise)?
