To my surprise, my dad is getting me the xmas present of having my setup redone to more my liking. I really want to go all out in a sense with amp racks, and overall appearance. I really love the amp rack which comes from the floor of the spare tire (2fast2furious beginning scene) looks clean and really sick. any ideas on a setup. The installer is a friend of mine, and it won't hit me up for much, kinda a car in which they can show people, or have word of mouth. thanks

me and my buddy made mine it was easy we just made a box for the amps and carpeted it then put a piece of board over the top with the whole cut out

love the ls400 man, nice looking, You maybe know the car i am talking bout in 2f2f in the beginning, i think its a bmw, the stereo is crazy, mine is nice now, but nothing show stopping, 2jlw7 in rear deck, which will stay there, but i am also gonna make sure i am capible of having a rear strut tower bar be able to be in my car, any your friends have some pics of other stereos.

i'll try and get some pics of my buddies install in his 99 GS300 Alpine CVA-1004, Alpine DVA-5205 DVD Player, Alpine DHA-S680 CD Changer, 1 JL Audio 13W7, JL Audio 1000/1 MONO BLOCK Amplifier, ADS P450.2 4 Channel Amplifier he garaged it for the winter so it might be a lil tough to get the pics but i'll try

keep them coming, will like to keep a stock look as much as possible, maybe a stealth look, shew i don't know

On mine: with the plexi cover over the amps and the covers over the "pockets" on the side, I can put back the stock Lexus oem carpet mat down and can use the entire trunk. The only thing visible then are the subs.

Just an idea.

Kapone, I like your idea with the Amp Box. Then you just cover it with the Lexus trunk carpet and it disappears, right? Is the spare still in there?

That's how mine is. It's in the spare well so that I can still use the stock Lexus carpet and still have full use of the trunk. The spare is gone, but it has to be unless you raise the floor or use the sides. That's another idea. You could use the sides to the far right and left of the trunk instead of the spare well. That way you retain use of the spare.

i have no spare tire but i made extra inserts on the side and top so there 4 extra pieces of wood that got carpeted so everything was level so my amps were bottom middle and i had 2 pieces od wood on top and 1 on each side of amps so carpet wood fit right
