Dash lights wont turn off !! HELP !!
I purchased a 1992 SC3 5 5-speed, abou two months ago.. Up until last weekend the car was perfect. After attempting to drive it in a really bad snow storm, the electrical system has some new issues.
1.) The radio cuts in and out as if it were being muted.
2.) The alarm now sounds 3-minutes after it sets.
3.) The Dash lights and climate controll stay inlluminated when the key is removed.
I have an appointment at the dealership on Monday, but if anyone out there has any info that might assist and save me some money it would really be a big help .
Thanks.

1 & 2 were happening with my 92 sc400, now I don't know about the sc300 but with mine the culprit was a bad car phone relay.. as soon as we took that out everything went back to normal.... Having the electrical manual helped alot also. The dealership for us was saying it was a bad fuse or moisture got into the system or something .... anyways sorry I can't be more of a help good luck... other people might be able to offer more help...

I don't know It could still be a bad relay somewhere... if you can get the electrical diagram for that model year you might be able to trace the prob. without spending $60 an hour for the dealer to find it. ($90CDN is what the dealer would of charged me and he also told me it might take a long time to find the prob ) Good luck.

Located in the trunk are: The Factory Alarm Brain (the drivers side) and the Radio Amp ( passenger side). The carpet is damp over these areas, but there doesn't seem to be any moisture directly on either.

I'm not sure now off the top of my head.. it was a long time ago which that happened.... I'll double check and lett you guys know..... I'm not sure if that's the cause of the radio getting screwed up but it wouldn't hurt to check if the relay is stuck or something... I had the same probs as bugsc3 well (2 if them) and it was becasue of that relay...

the integration relay is on the driver's side fuse box... that is located right beside where your left foot is while sitting... I can't tell you which one exactly it is as I don't remember but I know It's in that fuse box. Now it could be that you have moisture in there.. but just check the relay so the dealership doesn't screw you.

Problem solved (Maybe)
Checked the integration relay and I changed the battery posts. The lights have gone out! I'll wait and see if if the problem is really resolved.
Thanks to those of you who tried to help.

Problem not resolved!!!!!
The lights are still on. 2hrs later went back to the car and there they were. I found that if I hit the
turn signal, the cluster lights then go off. Anyone........Anyone? The radio is still fading in and out. The Alarm however has not sounded in a couple of days.
