Subwoofer rattle: Dynamat?
After i installed my 2 12's i have some rattle back in the back, sounds like its coming from the back lid and trunk cover, does anyone know if dynamat will reduce or take away all-together that rattle? And if so, will the Dynamat trunk kit do the job?

Pianoman,
How many more rolls of that stuff do you have left? I may be interested.

when i had my supra i did the entire interior with two layers with peel n seel (comparable to dynamat extreme in thickness without the name stamped on the back) for about $30. Thats two layers from the hatch to the firewall. The only thing i didnt do was the roof and the actual firewall.
Alot of people are skeptical about putting this stuff in their cars because it is used in roofing, but the materials they are constructed from are identical. Production procedures are identical with the dynamat having an extra step of being stamped with the name. If youre going with the tar based stuff, go with the peel n seal to save a few dollars (couple hundred?).

I used Dynamat Original on my trunk lid and it helped somewhat but does not eliminate all of the rattle, especially the spoiler rattle. I do not recommend using the Original - it weighed down the trunk lid so bad, if it ever falls on my head (the lid likes to fall when I'm on the slope of my driveway), I may not live through it - and I'm NOT kidding. If anyone is going to use Dynamat, use the Extreme stuff, or go RAAMmat or other stuff that's lighter in weight for the trunk lid.
