Default Factory GS changer with aftermarket amp

Has anyone replaced their factory pioneer amp and found a way to still use the factory CD changer with the new amp. I am in the process of upgrading my GS400 audio system and want to use a A/D/S PH15 I have laying around but don't want to give up my CD changer. BTW any suggestions for speaker replacement, configuration, etc would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

the gs amp is the source of the cd changer wires so it would be impossible to eliminate the factory amp. there is no cd changer connector on the back of the 98 up gs radio.

You CAN add an aftermarket amp with the stock CD changer in a GS, but you've got to use high (speaker) level in or preferrably a line level converter before it gets to the amp. Not truly a replacement as the stock amp stays where it is, but still much better than factory.

Plenty of suggestions for speakers, etc in this very forum... use the search feature .

Yes,

There are line level outs on the stock amp's PCB...

Where could I find these line level outs? What color codes?

Unfortunately, there are no color codes

They are actual solder points on the board. TecKis300 and I have pictures and will contribute a write up to Banana's website sometime in the near future.

Keep in mind, these outputs are not full range, they might exist, but we did not search for them. The line outs we are using are post processing...so, there are FR +/-, FL +/-, RR +/-, RL +/-, W+ and SGND. I believe the W is crossed over somewher around 80Hz??? This is also a vehicle with a stock NAV system. Not sure if the amps differ in other systems...
