After spending many hours, days, weeks,etc. and some cash for expert technical assistance, I have come up with a terrific solution to defeat that obnoxious, obtrusive, Lexus Link voice prompt. Best of all, the instructions require the unplugging of only one wire that is very, very accessible and completely reversible if needed. Both the LL service and the Memo recorder remain intact, but now I can record and hear the audio system simultaneously. I can record that important phone number the disk jockey just gave out. And-get this-I can record myself singing in perfect tune along with Coldplay's Chris Martin, and play the five minutes or so back , just to hear how awful I sound. No more muting of the audio system until that LL ad is over. Anyone interested contact me.
Note: I own a 2002 LS 430. I don't think it matters which model vehicle you have. I'm guessing on that at this early time.
