Nakamichi system, aftermarket deck, sub ?
I've searched and found no definite answer.
Can you use the factory sub with an aftermarket deck?
I'm adding my stereo in stages. Head unit 1st, door speakers, and then sub.
I plan on a 5 channel, but don't want to add an amp until I install a sub.
Is this possible??? Please help! Thanks.

I have heard that it is not possible to keep your sub with an aftermarket deck.
I think because you have to hard wire it ( there is a member on here that said scasche makes a harness for another toyota that fits but you just have to go to tweeter or a place with a lot of harnesses and find it )
The Nak system has a 5 channel amp which I guess recieves all speaker input signals ( no rca's) and since your aftermarket HU will only put out 4 of these signals then you lose the sub.
I have been thinking that you can do a line converter o turn speaker signals to RCA's, if you could do it in reverse then you may be able to keep the sub.
Let me know how it goes.
