Broken antenna on 93 ES300
My antenna is stuck at full mast. The motor still cranks like it tries to pull it back in. Do I need to replace the entire antenna or just the mast.

answer lies within http://carstereohelp.com/repairDoItY...mryPwrAntR.htm .
i think its common with es's. it happened to me and everytime i turn on the radio i hear this loud cranking sound becus the plasitc motor gears are shredded/broken. i just disconnected the motor (plastic blue/white clip) so my antenna just stays up all the time, and you can pull it up and down. i just leave mine about halfway up, it doesnt bother me.

Thanks for all your help and the web link. It was the first day above 50 here so I decided I'd tackle this project. $61 for the OEM mast and 20 minutes later I was done. That includes taking the entire assembly apart to fish out the cable.
Thanks again
