Default Will Alpine CDA-7897 work w/ stock cd changer

I could not get the quality sound I was looking for from the stock head unit. So I went with the Alpine CDA-7897.

I tried the search function but couldn't find anyone using an Alpine HU with the stock CD Changer.

1.) Is there an adapter that will allow the Lexus changer to be controlled by the Alpine?
2.) If so, please list the adapter, model number, and where it can be purchased. I tried Autotoys.com but could only find an adapter to get the stock head unit to work with an external changer.

Thanks in advance. I don't want to buy another changer if I can use the one I have.

i wanted to, but i believe that the only head unit it will work w/ is a pioneer. someone pm'd me the other day..said yuo have to modify the changer connection, but it can work with pioneers. i was dissappointed too

Thanks Koreanpers. Yeah it is kind of disappointing. I just checked eBay to see what the going rate is; it looks like I can sell it for $150.00. I'll just use those funds to buy an Alpine changer and it be like trading one for the other.

What did you decide on?

Also, has anyone put an after market changer in the lexus CD Changer's place. Any photos so I can see the fit? Any mounting problems?

Thanks.

I was drooling over the D900 for a while too but decided that it wasn't "stealth" enough. I don't want it snatched out by prfessional window shoppers

It's clearly the BEST DVD reciever on the market right now! Have you seen the screen in person?
