You can use (an) aftermarket amp(s) to replace the factory amp. There are instructions in the FAQ above I think. People have done this in the SC. You just have to do your research so you wire it right. i plan on doing this in my GS at some point.
If you want to add a DVD player I suppose you could do FM mod for the audio input into the headunit. That would be the easiest way for sure.

I removed my factory changer in my 94 Sc400 and installed a Kenwood unit. Somewhat simple install if you have some help. preferably someone with electrical knowledge.. What you do is take out your pioneer deck and wire in the wires from the Cd changer.. Im sorry that I can not remember how we did it but it is possible.. I use Fm station 88.3 to get my changer to work. Im not much help on how to , but it is possible and relatively easy.
