you have to get a metal cutter. i didnt take any beginning pics sorry. Simply cut out the circle for the sub, and then cut out the section for the port. the rear deck is reinforced ..and dynomated on both top and bottom. once the rear deck is reinstalled it has a 12 gauge steel grill w/ clothe covering it. It should look/sound awesome. Hoping to be done with it today. I will take more pix of the completed install, w/ the amp and caps

Thanks man, I appreciate it. I love your setup. I once thought about trying to do that in my SC, like make a box to fit over the top of the gas tank, but it's jus too impractical. I love it, though GOOD JOB! Be sure to post the completed project pix!

1 question though, im pretty sure the 12w7 can handle alot more than 500, are you just choosing to run 500 or is there some other reason?

well, whenever my gf..is in the car...i cant turn it up anyways. but i know...i could have got the 1000.1 but chose not too. it will be plenty loud..especially when the alpine iva-d900 gets put in on wed
