correct and also, by removing the factory amp and messing with the wires too much, you really dont know if you could be screwing something else up. Just playing it safe.

I have the regular Lexus Nakamichi head unit. I'm not sure if it will or not.

No there is nothing special that you need to do. How many things are you wanting to amp? Front speakers/ rears and sub? YOu can either use the stock wire that is already in the car that runs from the stock amp(in the trunk) to the doors or you can run new wire from the trunk to the doors...its up to you.
