wow. love the write up engin_ear. i learned a lot. ummagawd i installed a JL 10ib4 in my sc300 a few months ago. it's not as easy as i thought and my sub still rattles. you're going to face clearance problems if you put in a 10" free air, and you'll have to fab something most likely. my friend said my sub might be defective, which might explain the rattle. haha actually i should ask for your advice engin_ear on my problem.

do a search, there are about 4-5 good threads on ppl installing free airs.
