I am an american from NYC living in the UK, I have a 1991 Japanese imported Soarer 2.5 TT...

My question is this... Would it be possible to fit a set of Diamond audio HEX Series S500 component speakers up front.. ?

Has anyone used these speakers in the doors before ?

i have heard of people fitting 5" speakers up front, although I am not sure of the mount depth of the speaker they used.

On another note- post some pics of your car please! sounds cool!!!

yes you can do it, some cutting, depth is not a problem, you just got cuttin to do

For that size you can modify the factory plastic enclosure or fab some baffles, but there's definitely room, here's mine with baffles and 6 3/4" spkrs...

've got 6.5's in mine. Their Infinity Kappa Perfects and are pretty deep too if you've ever seen them.

I'm running Diamond Audio Hex's in my car as well...6.5" in the front and 5.25" in the back of a GS400. I'm not too sure what kind of mounting room you have in the Soarer, but it's no problem in the US Spec GS4. Just create a new baffle out of MDF, secure it, and you are good to go. If you can really try to step up to the 6.5" in front and make sure you give them good power; I have 125W a side on my 6.5"s and they handle it with ease!

Yes, it can be done by simply building a baffle for them.
