1995 SC400:Replacing aftermarket headunit and stock speakrs. Need to change wires?
well, i finally finished installing my subs and amp today. I was bored and tried to install my aftermarket headunit (pioneer DEH7500MP) and replace the four 4" speakers. I tried to take out the stock headunit(Nak) but failed to do so. I gave up about 30 minutes later.
So then i decided to take it to a local audio shop and have them do the work. They told me that if i replace the headunit, the spearker wires to the 4" stock speakers will not work anymore. He then tells me that i will need to replace all the stock wirings for the front/rear speakers. i have a hard time believe this so i left to post up here to make sure.
Questions:
Do i need to replace the wiring for the front and rear speakers if i am replacing the stock headunit with an aftermarket one?
Are the stock 4" speakers powered by the stock headunit or the stock amp?
Can my aftermarket headunit(Pioneer DEH-7500MP) power my aftermarket speakers?(four 4" Infinity Kappa 42.5i speakers) or do i have to install another amp?
please help!
