Seeing your finished product, gives me motivation to go and fabricate my own install kit and save 200 bucks for a shops custom work.
Oh, one question, how did you secure the kit?

it is self securing because the extra side lip of the wood filler and the cages of the stereo's "sandwiches" the console inbetween. once u press the tabs of the cages to the wood, the whole thing is secured and wont move anymore.
As i stated earlier, i would use a thicker MDF board because it is alot stronger than the particle board that i used, also secure the 2 stereo's together with a bracket on each side for extra support since i cut off the stock side brackets of the stereo. but all that is common sense... good luck!

Damn man, that looks great! I must say, I was skeptical, but after seeing the finished product, all I can say is... WOW! Awesome work! This can save a DIYer $50-$200!! Great Job!
