Hey guys, i have a set of Infinity Kappa's, 5.25" front components and 6.5" 3 ways for the rears and a 10" Pioneer IMPP free air sub. I've installed the fronts with some minor cutting with the stock enclosedment. I know how to install the 10" sub on the factory location, courtesy of DuB. I think i will be having some trouble with the 6.5" for the rears because it's way too big compared to stock. For those who have installed it, could yall give me some pointers on what to do? Pictures would be wonderful also, thanx in advance.

Two years ago, I put a 6.5" Kappa 3-way in the rear of my SC. The existing hole is 4.5", large enough for the magnet structure (3.5" in my older model Kappas). I did have to drill one or more new mounting holes to match up with the Kappa holes, being careful when drilling since the rear window gets in the way of the drill. I angled it, being careful not to scratch the defroster grid. As I recall, I might have found it easier to drill one hole from inside the trunk.
I did not disable the tweets, but be advised most audio purists will tell you to only have tweets in the front for the best possible imaging.

thanx for the inputs guys, i started it today and i did have to cut off some metal because the new Kappa's are larger than the old ones. I had a problem of mounting/drilling the speakers because of the rear window. I finally had to make a template out of particle board and copied the old one so i could just bolt it on and then mount the speakers on the board. I will be finishing it tomorrow, hopefully i dont run into more problems.
I will also try to disconnect the rear tweaters, but if i do.. where will the mid's come from?

Yea, I made an "adapter" instead of cutting the metal just incase I ever sell this car and want to put the stock stuff back in.
Did you mean the highs? The tweets produce the high notes, like symbols and whatnot. The mids (mostly vocals and some higher-range bass) will come from the mid-range driver in the component set.
