Default **PICS** Stereo install - Part 1

Alpine CDA-9811
JL Audio 10W3 in custom enclosure
Bostwick HCA-2100x 500X1

Sounds great for now. Had to do quite a bit of tuning though. Excellent choice for those wanting a good clean deep sound. Phase 2 will include the JL 500/5 and door speakers. Phase 3, screens!

Last one. As you can see, I did a my own little custom rubber band job to stop the seatbelt holder from rattling like crazy!

Very nice and clean! Similar to mine (10W3 in box and JL 500/5) but your box looks bigger. When you get the 500/5 mounted, look at my pics and see if you like the way the installer did it... I like it although it isn't very showy, it looks almost OEM since he built a bottom cover for all the wiring on the amp.

Edit - although you might be keeping your 500x1 amp and that would make it totally different!

Looks very nice. Nice choice in head unit. A friend of mine has one of those and is very happy with it (I'm a little biased towards Alpine ) What kind of screens are on the list for phase 3?

First off, thanks for the replies!

Diesel -
Actually I decided to hold off on the sound deadening. It doesn't have much of a rattle at all since I fixed the seatbelt holder. But I'm a perfectionist so it will probably get done in a few weeks. Hardly any rattle at all from the trunk on the outside since most of the bass is forced into the cabin.

Dave -
Your setup looks sweet. Your box is definately smaller.

jet -
I decided yet. I may just do 2 Pioneer screens in the headrests. What do you guys suggest?

Where can I get that prefabricated HU enclosure? I need to get one asap. Thanks!

For screens, since that head unit is Ai-Net compatible, I suggest getting some Alpine screens for the head rests. They'll work together better with the head unit I believe. Are you gonna get a dash mounted DVD for the video capabilities?

Nice install! Very clean. How do you like the JL sub? Any rattling in the back window?

I have to say that set up looks amazing. I orginally wanted to go w/ a 2 amp system w/ 2 12 w/3's and making a custom port hole though the existing 10 in sub, but I have to rethink it now. Your setup looks great, plus there is still a lot of room space. But how does the bass hit. Does it hit pretty hard, or is it very mild? Plus, has anyone been able to fit a 12 up there? Thanks

I'll probably eventually go with a dash dvd when I can afford it!

There's not much rattling at all. I was suprised.

The bass hits pretty good. All I can say is that it hits like one 10". A lot of people are like, " that's only one 10!" For the price/performance I love the JL.
