Had MB Quarts...lots of them. 218.03, 160.03, HX25, 150.02, etc. Used to believe in their flashy marketing, but have found them to be a bit too bright and harsh with their titanium tweeter. I'll use their tweeter if it's in a low firing position (such as near the knee) and if it's at a very steep off axis position. Note that their website says nothing about the damping properties (ringing) of their titanium. They used to blame harshness on the "quality" of electronics, but I've found this not to be true from practical experience. Mids were a bit veiled and were a pain to tune out in small enclosure situations. (door mounting)
Focals. Not enough experience with these. Gene Reed (Mean Gene) used to run these in his GS400.
My recommendation for the cleanest sound (without any of the harshness) would be Dynaudio. Give them a listen.

I totally agree with Percy on the Dyn's. I'm running the System 240MKII with 7"mids in the front doors, tweeters in the stock locations and seperate MW170 8" mids in the rear doors. Clean and as loud as you want
