I have a 99 gs400 and am planning on installing an aftermarket amplifier and speakers but do not want to change the head unit. I have heard of an PAC OEM-1 Adapter that gives me rca's from my head unit but I cant find one for Lexus. Does anyone know of a adapter that I can use to run rca's to my new amp?

If you have the Pioneer stock system (not Nakamichi), you will not be able to do this easily. There is no PAC adapter for this car. Blitzsafe is another company that makes those, and I don't think they have one out yet either. Problem is that there are two sets of preamp signals going to the amp - one from headunit, one from CD changer, and the amp does the switching. Most people in this situation have kept their stock amp and used line-level converters (LLC) to drop the speaker-level outputs of their amp back down to line level, then used those outputs to go into any new amp(s). There is a TON of info in these threads on this topic if you search for it.

by DEI cause they are the best once, you connect a 4channel amp to that and then do a pass thru to your amp for the box, if you want i can help you.

Thanks for the info guys. This answered my questions. I just wanted to ask your opinions since many people on these boards have already done the same thing. Now I could finally get started.
