90-94 LS sound system??
Hello mods..please dont move this post since it deals with the early gen. LS specifically. Thanks.
My quesion to people about the sound system in thier 90-94 LS. Have you ever sat in the back and listened to your system and found out that the rear passengers can barely hear anything? I noticed that a few weeks ago when I sat in the back just to test it out and the sound doesnt quite reach my ears. I mean I can hear it but not as pronounced as compared to the front.
Here are my questions:
1. What can I do to make the listening experience in the rear a bit more lively?
2. Will adding a pair of tweeters up high in the C pillar help?
3. Or will a pair of coaxials on the rear deck help better?
4. I am not looking into heavy bass pounding, more of a nice quality sounding system. Any recommendations on speaker placements?
Thanks for anybodies input on this one.

Stock locations are good. The best thing you can do is upgrade those 4" speakers in doors to 6'5's and het new tweeters in stock location. You will need to run an aftermarket amp of course.

They sell kits in every audio store to convert the stock signal output signal to RCA's. To fit 6.5's one would have to make a custom baffle and screw it to the door. You can also use the stock speaker boxes to modify them and fit 6.5 there.

I have an aftermarket headunit...its a Sony Xplod unit double din size (dont flame me for that one, it was a gift)
I have two sets of Infinity 5.25 component speakers. i was planning on putting one set ofcourse in the front and the second set in the rear door. Where can I put the tweeter for the rear?
Or should i put my Infinity 5.25" coaxial speakers in the rear instead of the component?
So the doors can fit speaker sizes up to a 6.5" without too much of a probem.?

okay, they still moved it, even after I explained that this only specifically deals with the LS400!

Damn the egots...they should go back to wearing those thongs!! j/p
BR1AN have you ever wondered how the sound is in your car in the back seat? It really doesnt sound good at all. That is why Im asking this question to see if any LS400 owners have had the chance to listen to thier system from the passengers point of view.

Do you think it could be due to your headunit/current setup?
