Default kick panel speaker wiring

I wanted to add some kickpanel speakers in my first gen gs. I was wondering how i would wire that? Do i split the front channels using a Y cable into a 4 channel amp and have each channel power a speaker for the front (4 speakers in front)

or can i just plug 2 speakers into each speaker output on the amp.

i was just worried about the voltage drop using a Y split and i don't want to sacrafise sound quality

Voltage drop when splitting an RCA signal is minimal. I wouldn't recommend having different speakers playing the same frequency range. Unless door drivers are being used as midbass only, I would recommend deactivating them in favor of the kickpanel's....
