Does it matter how thin the remote on wire is ? I found a wire in my trunk of my sc400 that is a switched power, and I just used it for my remote wire for my amp. Just wondering if this is going to mess up anything ? its working fine now.

The remote on draws a fraction of an amp, so it will be fine. It's simply used to power a switching relay (or circuit) inside the amp to turn the main power on (+ wire connecting to your battery).
