Default Lost sound after installing XM

Guys,

This may be an idiotic question, but I am new at this audio stuff so bear with me.

Before I installed my XM radio, I could barely turn my volume past 14 cuz it was so loud. Now, after installing my XM I can have it up to 36 and it is less loud than it used to be at 14???

Is this normal?

Thx,

Jonny

I think it would help us if you gave more details regarding your type of equipment.

Let me guess that you are using an add-on Delphi Skifi XM receiver. Low audio levels are a known deficiency and one solution, depending on your setup, is an audio preamp like this one that you can find for sale at www.XMfan.com

http://www.xmfanstore.com/showproduct.php?id=linedriver

On the long-shot guess that you're using an FM modulator, there is a new model, the SA10081

http://www.xmfanstore.com/showproduc...d=universalmod

that is supposed to give better audio output.

The radio has something called Voice enhancement which is only available when playing CD's, radio and secondary attachments are not affected by that , to fix that ress the silver button in the middle of the volume adjustment three times and i think youll see it.
