Thinking of this sub...

Guys,
When you are referring to brands that are good, bad or suck.....just remember that products change year over year as well as employees. I've read many things about Rockford being good in the old days and not very good now. However, the new Rockford products for 2004 (over 100+) are unbelievable! New people=new products. Rockford has redesigned every product to be better than ever.
If there is a product that compares to the new Power series amps or subs.....let me know and I can give you some facts and not opinions to help make your decision.

But for the previous years, I just wasn't satisfied with many of the RF products. Now (I mentioned it earlier), I did like the BD1500/BD1501 amplifiers as well as the Team RF subwoofers (Chris Norris did a good job designing those subs' - those subs' take crazy amounts of power and they put up good #'s).
12volt - Do you work for Rockford Fosgate?

Yes....I do. I am the director of product development and I was also the Product planner responsible for the new RF products. I know Chris very well.
You're going to love the new stuff.....its unreal
P.S. the new T30001bd did 3200 watts at 12.6v (CEA) and we currently cant test them to their full potential stapped due to power supply issues......they were cooking our load banks at over 6000 watts.
450 amps of current at full power for the T30001bd.....so be prepared.

Well, it sounds that Rockford Fosgate is up to some good stuff. 3200 watts @ 12.6v?...that sounds very impressive. From my understanding, they are stable at 1-ohms for daily-driving, but can you drop them to lower-ohms for burps (for example, .5-ohms)? I remember that my friend ran his BD1500 at 2-ohms for daily and dropped them to .5-ohms for burps and it didn't even struggle. That amp' was a beast.
Are there any revisions for the Team RF products this year (even though there is probably no need to change anything)? Also, will Rockford Fosgate still be a strong supporter (with their Team RF) for the competition-scene? I'm only asking because I guess Kicker and KCG are starting to drop out of SPL scene (Alma and Team Gates are with Team JBL while Michael Hughes stopped using Kicker products and is now running some Resonant Engineering equipment).
