I need help changing the stereo
Hi, I just bought a 2001GS 300 and I'm wondering what I'll have to do to change the deck and speakers. My car is not equipped with the Mark Levinson audio. I was told that all the speakers were amplified and that I would be hard pressed to change things without doing a major overhaul of the system. If that's what I'll have to go through to do it then all I'm looking to do is integrate my Infiniti perfect 10" sub and amp into the existing system if that's possible. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you replace the head unit, everything else will be easy. The stock speakers are horrible in my opinion - that was the first to go for me. What's your budget? What components do you already own? What are your system goals. Someone will chime in with some suggestions that meet your goals/budget.

Car stereo replacement
I would like to replace the head unit with an Alpine CDA-9833 or with any recommendations anyone might have. As far as the speakers I'm open to suggestions because the stock speakers aren't that good. I already have a 10" sub and amp. I'm looking to keep things under $1000. All I really want to do is to change the head unit the existing speaker and add in the sub and amp.
