Focal 100KP for SC400?
Hi all,
Making another attempt to fix my terrible setup ... so I went to a very reputable shop in my area and asked them what they'd recommend. After they looked at my car, they recommended Focal 100KP (4 inch, 2 way) for both front and back. As for the replacement of the (free air) sub, they couldn't come up with anything yet.
I told them about the systems that get recommended most on CL (Dynaudio front / rear, JL sub) and while they are a Dynaudio dealer (which is rare in my country) they said that they expect equal or better results with the Focal's using the stock enclosure. As for JL, nobody here (Switzerland) knows or sells them.
What do you think? Is this solid advice, or should I try another shop?
Thanks,
Diego
BTW: I'm not looking for the "ultimate" system. An obvious improvement of my stock system will do. Must be able to play Linkin Park and smooth jazz though

Focals are great speakers, and certainly better than what comes stock.
Since most purists say that any more than two tweeters in a car will hinder, not help, the sound stage/imaging enjoyed by the front passengers, you might consider disabling them- the stock tweeters are pretty decent and located in a good position.
