the 98 99 gs had a hard drive nav system not a dvd based like the new ones so would be near impoossible to install an 04.

IMO You'll be better off adding an aftermarket touchscreen nav.

You sure can, but i think the problem is finding the equipment at a resonable price.

check with oemvalue.com. they sell Toyota OEM nav unit that can be retrofitted to many vehicles.
