I've got a 96 SC300 and I hate the pathetic "beep" my car makes when I lock/unlock it remotely.
I've decided I want to get it to flash the lights with the "beep" and I've done some reading.
I'll be able to accomplish this with a pair of relays but first I need to find where the damn horn is.
I've been trying to find it for a while now and it seems to be somewhere near the base of the drivers side window wiper.
Anyone know where the little "beep" horn is located?
If not, where do I find the security syst***s brain/ECU?

thanks Gazi.
This will definitely help me out if I can't find the thing that maes the "beep".
In case I have to get my signal from the ECU directly, does anyone have a wiring diagram for the security ECU?
Could someone please scan that for me?

Update: I've found the little speaker that makes the "beep" when you lock/unlock the car.
It's located behind the front wheel on the driver's side.
Too bad finding it did absolutely nothing for me.
I was hoping that the speaker would get +12 VLots but it gets about 1 which is not enough to activate my relay.
So now I really don't know where to wire my relay to.
I want the lights to flash when I lock/unlock my car, so I need a wire that emits +12V only when I lock/unlock the car.
Any Ideas?

I did.
Was hoping to find something else because wiring using the door lock actuator is gonna be a pain in the ***.
Reason being: One wire gets 12V for locking, and another for unlocking.
I was planning to use 2 relays for this project (1 for foglights, 1 for tail lights) but If I do it using the door lock wires, I will need to use 4 relays and do some complicated wiring.
Thanks for the idea though.
Any other possibilities?
Damn I wish I had the repair manuals.
