Default Ground Loop Isolators. Is There a Better One?

In my recent iPod in Lexus SC430 install, I used a PIE omnidirection noise filter as my ground loop isolator. However, I'm learning more about ground loop isolators and that the transformers of lesser units have worse bass and phase response. Does anybody have good, objective information that compares the P.I.E. EIS-ILNO Omni-Directional In-Line Noise Filter vs other units like the Soundgate ISO2 Universal Noise Isolator? http://www.logjamelectronics.com/noisefilters1.html I know there are also other brands out there, but I can't find any good comparisons.

If there is good evidence that a particular model is superior, I'll rewire in a new unit to make my iPod sound even better.

Have you done any ipod installs with a Mark Levinson system? Can it be done?

Ground loop isolators are all pretty much the same. It's just a one to one transformer. The only difference with the different brands are the quality of materials and work they put into it. If you want better quality than what you have you can put the isolator closer to the equipment the signal's going to, and you can keep power wires away from your signal wire, and you can keep your wire runs as short as possible and don't loop your slack wires, and each equipment should have a good solid ground close by. Hope that helps.
