Cut my factory Harness Need pics to wire back up

need to know how: hardwiring SC harness
might be a very dumb question i searched thru threads and come up with very unclear results. I want to know if i was going to hardwire my NAK harness to my RJ unit. do i have to cut all four of the harnesses and attach all the colors to each other and then connect it to the aftermarket headunit.
for example :basically if there is four red wires (1 red wire for each harness) do i connect them to each other and then connect it to the aftermarket harness.
please any info is appreciated, i dont want to F*** up and be stuck with a burnt radio and RJ unit.

P.s. Pictures and diagrams are always Good( preferrable they are easier than instructions)lol..
