Default 4 12" W6's, Fiberglass enclosure?

What's up guys, I was planning on purchasing this guys system up in dallas, but Its a bit old, and I figured, I'd go a little crazy upgrading this time.

Currently, here is my system, two W6's, autotek mono amp, autotek 4-channel, and focal components.

I thought, since I'm not getting another system, why not just upgrade mine.... so I had some restless nights, and some image searching, and came up with a plan of attack.

I found this killer system on cardomain

and thought, hey, that looks really nice, why don't I try that, So I'm thinking, two W6's in the spare trunk with custom fiberglass work to make it look organic, and then fab up a slick box in the back shelf using fiberglass and make it looks somewhat like this:

I was thinking, since my set-up is already blacked out, Id keep it that way, So how do you guys think that would look and sound? 4 W6's....hehe.....it would whoop my friends 2 w7's....

I guess I'll start taking some classes and reading up on fiberglassing...cuz i have no cash to spend 4k on a box like that, I'll do it the old fashioned way, myself.

So what do you guys think that would look like? slick?

sounds good, does your trunk have enough air space to be sufficent for 4 12" w6s? instead of having a glowing JL you should have customized Lexus symbol

Yeah, I'll probably have the glowing L symbol, then glowing names of the products I used, Like JL, Focal, and Autotek... Well, That guy that put two in his spare tire well, he had two 13.5 W7's, im only using 12W6's, and then I have the space to put two where I already Have them, just frenching the amps somewhere is going to be a bizzatch

With four W6's you might need one amp for every Sub and maybe an extra battery and a CAP or two

Well, the autotek amps I'm using puts out 1500 watts rms.... which is more than the two W6's can take... I know I'll need a second battery, and I need a like 10 or 15 farad capactior.

Few things id like to throw in....
1. Fiberglassing is not easy, but if you have the patience, it could be fun.
2. The rule for capacitors is 1F for each 1,000w rms. You shouldnt need more than 2F, maybe 3 depending on your highs and mids.
3. IIRC 12W6s are rated for 300w or 350w rms, so if the amp is putting out 1500w then you are fine.
4. What ohm load are the w6s?
5. Im not sure if the Autotek amps are overrated or not, might want to look into that and see its real output.
6. Im pretty sure that ive seen the grey car on CL, might want to search for the owner.
7. With 2,000w draw plus everything else in the car you might want to look at adding a yellow top and/or upgrading your alternator.

If you want to keep the voltage up, you're going to need to upgrade the alternator. Any number of caps will not keep the voltage up if you're alternator can't handle the load.

Autotek amps are not overrated.

I would also sell the Focals. They're pretty solid speakers and you're not going to be able to hear them anyway, so no reason to put them to waste.
