Pioneer AVH-P7500DVD being replaced?
Hi guys. I've been drooling over the AVH-7500DVD unit from Pioneer and am ready to make the purchase. I'm wondering though since the big annual electronics show is in August whether I should wait to see if there will be a replacement for it? It has been out for over a year now. I know the N1 system is out but I still think the 7500 is the flagship so to speak. I will be getting the Avic-80 to go with it.

Dan, I wouldn't worry about Pioneer upgrading their 7500 model so soon. They put alot of R&D into the 7500 & the N1 so changing the style again would be a waste of money and time. I would say go ahead and get it and get the nav system to go with it. I have the AVIC 90. By the way, a friend of mine just got the N1. I had the chance to tune his system and it does lack some features that the 7500 has. It's a great "all-n-one" system but it doesn't top the 7500. Good luck...

If you're familiar with Pioneer then you know that their top model was the avh-p6500 for many years. Then they started a new line which were the avh-p7480 & avh-p7490. Then they released the 7500 and not even a year later, they released the N1. Pioneer is trying really hard to be ahead of the game. Currently, Pioneer has an audio/video unit for every type of consumer so their really isn't anything left to build until Alpine or Kenwood change their models again and put pressure on Pioneer. So to answer your question, IMO...I wouldn't expect to see another unit better than the 7500 until mid '05. However, look to see upgrades to the N1 within a year...
