Carputer - SC guys what do you think

Since the motherboard we're using only has 1 PCI slot, we're still deciding what we should use it for. I might try out a TV/radio tuner and see how that works on the road with the antenna. As an update, I am almost done with this project, just working on the molding of the touchscreen into the radio trim area.

What about something like this? I know it is for a Mac, but do you think they might have made Windows drivers?

i understand that, but its in a good location where you can take it down and type, and somehow latch it on the visor for takeoff.

Here's a picture of some progress I have so far...as you can see, i'm going to fill up the cupholder slot as well as the radio volume button. I wish I could relocate the temp control & hazard button but I have no idea where to put those...

aliga...no trimming is required as of yet...I did however make the lower portion of the screen indent a bit for better viewing from the rear seats...
Here are some more pictures: rear shot, mediacar with brushed metal lexus skin, and a music video playing..

So that screen looks like it fits great. Why take out the volume ****? I'd be all about connecting that to the computer to control volume. You should be able to wire it directly to the x or y axis of the joystick port if you've got one, then use the DirectInput stuff (I think, it's been a while) to get the value. How much did you get that screen for?
In case you're wondering, I'm getting close to doing this with a Apple 1.25GHz 15" Powerbook mainboard; the biggest challenge being the display...
