I am a technical novice so bear with me.... Purchased some time ago an avx7000 pioneer flip out with a separate dvd player and the pioneer brain.
I have 600 watt amp and wanted to know if should use that amp to power everything including speakers and sub or puchase a separate amp? I am only running stock speakers but plan to upgrade to Boston Acoustics or Focals.. so wattage and set-up recommendations are appreciated.
Thx

first off, how many channels is that amp and if possible can you give me the model of the amp or a breakdown of the wattage like 300x2 +100x2 ( something in that order) if you dont know just tell me the type of amp .

it depends on the type of system you want, you could use a 5 channel 600watt amp and have a really nice system, but if you want the to be heard half a block away you need a seperate class D amp. if you go yhat route then you may need a cap, it's like a little battary.
it's all up to you, so what kind of system do you want.
