Static/Crackling Sound Coming From Free-Air Sub.
Well first it was my JL sub going , now my Image Dynamics ID10 is acting up. Only like 3 months old and it happened today.
The problem, been playing music for around 3 hours(trance music) and then all of a sudden I hear static coming from the sub or some sort of crackling sound. I immediately shutoff my system worrying I might do more damage. Anyone have any clues what it might be? I am thinking that my amp/sub got too hot or something(86 degrees outside) but I am just assuming. I will let the amp cool down for a few hours but does anyone have any suggestions on what it might be?
If the ID sub is bad I will be very upset.
If anyone can help me, I would greatly appreciate it!
