I have a '02 Gs300 with the mark levinson Nav package. I just had my 500/1 jl amp and 12 w6v2 installed into my car. The shop tapped the wires directly from the stock 10" free air sub (meaning at the deck) and ran that into the LLC then into the jl amp. Is he doing the right thing or should it be tapped before it gets into the factory amp? The stock sub is also still running with the w6...should it be disconnected? i'll be going back tomorrow because the bass **** isnt working.

I think they should have tapped into the audio lines before the factory amp. Because if they tapped into the OEM sub, that is high power going into the rca converter and could possibly burn out the converter.
