While redoing the stereo in my GS, we came across the stock tape deck with 2 wires plugged in. We found that this is what made the touch screen work. I was wondering if anyone has found a way to eliminate the use of that plug, to inturn, eliminate the stock tape deck.
We thought it may be a 68ohm resistor, but I just wanted to check to see if this has been done before, and what the solution is?
Thanks!

Tonight Tony (turbosc) and I tested out our fix idea, The factory head unit had 2 wires TX+ and TX- that were required to run thrugh the head unit to keep the navi screens touch screen capabilities. By connecting these two wires by a 68ohm 1/2 watt resistor we were able to remove the factory radio and still maintain the touch screen functionality for the navigation!! METAL
