Ground Wire problem

Dude can you start at the beginning like as far as what has been changed from stock. It's kind-of hard to help without knowing what's been done.
The only green-white wire I know about leads to the factory CD changer and has nothing to do with grounding. BROWN is what you want for grounding. And it is being grounded under the ashtray in stock form.

Maybe they disconnected the changer and the green/white is now used as a ground wire? If it were me I would get some wire and re-ground the black wire, see what happens.

Yeah, you're probably right about the green/white. I would make sure I use the same ground as the amp, though, to keep the noise level down. That's why I thought the stock brown wire might be better.

Guys,
There is an aftermarket deck, with aftermarket sub and amps. So, there is no factory stereo being used. I guess I will ground my black wire, cap the white/green wire and then hope for the best! Is this smart or what do u suggest??
I really don't want to pay a car audio store to fix something that seems like it is pretty simple. Thanks for your time and advice,
Jonny
