Default need pic of inside of single button transponder key...

Please help.

I am pretty new to the list and just recently got my 1992 5spd SC300. I found the thread to try and reprogram the transponder key but was unsuccessful after several tries. I suspect that my key is missing a piece. I replaced the battery today and realized there is no metal contact to the positive (+) side of the battery. can someone take a picture of the key split into it's two pieces so that I can verify that I have or am missing an internal part of the key (battery terminal)?

Thanks
David

If no one has done this by the time I wake up I will take a picture of mine. I have been up all night doing LED work on my cluster, so I need to crash for now.

Jared,

Thanks for the pix. Do you happen to have a pic of the underside of the cover? I am guessing there is some sort of metal contact in there..if not, then i guess i am not doing the programming properly.

Thanks
David

I do not have a picture of the underside of the cover. But I just double checked and there are no metal contacts on this cover. It is a solid plastic piece. All the metal contacts are on the main part of the key. The little 3-pronged piece contacts the negative part of the button cell, while the metal contact on the side is what contacts the positive part of the battery.
