it will be awesome with 1 1000/1 on 1 13w7
no offense at all to dagr8, but you will NOT blow the 13w7 with a 1000/1
there is almost no way in hell u can do that regularly.
the only way u can blow a 13w7 with that amount of power is if you clip the amp.
the key is install.
make sure you go to a pro-audio shop
running that amount of power u WILL need to run 0-gague or triple 4
you should do "the big 3" on your car's system
you should get a optima yellow top battery
you should fuse your wires at least 18" or shorter from the battery, then whenever u change wire sizes, fuse again (usually before the amp).
dont leave any metal parts exposed to where they can be touched by water
make sure you just take it to a very reputable store. al&eds at least.
make sure you buy it from a dealer
JL has one of the BEST warrantys NOT one of the worst, while it is true they take time to repair your unit, if it is indeed a defect, they will replace it.
im a car audio fanatic, i've do alot of local cars and change my setup every 2 weeks or so.
if you have any questions, ask me any time at wjcheng@ucla.edu
btw, i think you will want to try RE subs.
but the w7 is a awesome choice
peace

I'm not a boom guy but I love Image Dynamics. I decided against JL because I was told their foam surrounds would deteriorate a lot faster than rubber. I don't know but most people use rubber so why take the chance. A lot of people love JL though...but I vote ID!

I love JL all of their lineup is very nice. I have a 300/4 running my xr650.csi and xr650.cxi. They sound so clean and nice, I also have a 500/1 running a 210w6 box. The whole system just sounds clean not too much boom but just enough. I tried the w7 just too much boom for me but they are awesome dont get me wrong. Either way you go the 13.5 and 1000/1 is a great setup.
