Adding an FM modulator?

mG,
Why would you want to do it this way? Any CD's that are played through will have the sound quality of FM since FM is the carrier. Lots of detail and quality loss!
I took a look at the GS4 w/NAK and didn't see a Antenna connection label. BUT from further inspection of the schematic, you can possibly use the headunit itself as a preamp, bypassing any line level converters! You can't do it (as far as I know) with the Pioneer, but it looks like you can do it with the NAK. Looks like 933005spd's hack will work with more than just the SC systems.

very interesting...hmmm. I need to get a hold of the schematics and take a look, but if it seems like it's going to be hell, forget it. I don't have long drives to work anymore...I was trying again in my never ending quest to install a mp3 player to the stock system, w/o major work
ps. what do you think about Boston acoustic pro series? I was thinking about getting them for the doors. The amount of work to take out the rear sub scares me...I'll try and get a few friends to help me with that.
thanks again.

Boston Acoustics are Ok sounding. Not very detailed, sort of muffled, but lots of midbass. If you were to only take apart your car and do it once, get the Dyns.
